At Mississippi Dunes Golf Links we have an exciting golf course and bar/ grill to host any league. Whether playing with friends or company co-workers, our golf shop staff will ensure every week is enjoyable and successful for you and others. Mississippi Dunes Men's Wednesday 18 Hole League
LEAGUE MEETING WILL BE WEDNESDAY APRIL 29TH AT 7:00 P.M.
LEAGUE: Wednesday’s 18-Hole Men’s League at Mississippi Dunes Golf Links
REGISTRATION: Anyone interested in playing in the Wednesday league must enroll at the Pro Shop or contact Tyler at tbrewton@mississippidunes.com.
LEAGUE FORMAT: We are proud to announce the debut of the Mississippi Dunes Men’s Club for 2009. The Club is designed to add a touch of competition to your round of golf. All players of all abilities are welcome to play. Handicaps will be established using our league manager system. Players will earn points for participation and place during each event. These points get accumulated during the year and will be used to determine “Player of the Year” honors. Prizes will also be awarded for each event net and gross during individual play. To qualify for the end of the year tournament, an individual must compete in 10 events.
Weekly Point breakdown (Net/Gross):
Winner: 5 points
2nd-: 3 points
3rd: 2 points
4th-10th-1 point
End of the Year Tournament:
Winner: 60 points
2nd: 40 points
3rd: 20 points
4th-10th: 10 points
LEAGUE FEES: $20 to cover the cost of website management, weekly prizes, and end of the year prizes.
WEBSITE INFORMATION: We will be using netgolfleague.com, which lets us use multiple scoring systems, event scheduling, create a “league” handicap, track individual statistics, and post info on our own league message board.

DAY OF THE WEEK: League day will be Wednesday. The first league match will be held May 5th and will run 17 weeks until September 2nd.
END OF THE YEAR TOURNAMENT: The end of the year tournament will be held September 2nd, 2009. The “Players of the Year” will be determined by a cumulative point total collected throughout the year. A winner will be declared in a gross division/net using the league handicap.
*If the same person is ahead in both divisions, he/she will be declared winner in the gross division and the person with the 2nd most points in the net division will be declared the winner in the net division.
WEEKLY EVENTS: Though this is an individual league, there will be weekly events that will be individual, 2-person, or 4-person side games going on weekly. In the team events, each team will be determined after the round is over randomly using the website’s software. Therefore, you can play at anytime with whoever you please and still participate of the weekly events. To be a part of the weekly events, please see the Pro Shop before teeing off.
TEE TIMES: There will be no set tee times for the league. You are more than welcome to play with whoever and whenever you want. There will be a large group going off in the morning between 8:30-9:30 as well as a group going off 1:30-2:30. To post a league score, you must play on Wednesday and be playing with one other person in the league to attest you score and turn you scorecard on Wednesday.
