Interdenominational (Christian)
Caring, organized
Pre-marriage counseling services available
Licensed in the state of Minnesota
Over 25 years of ministry experience
Hi folks. If you're looking for a minister to serve at your wedding I'd love to work with you. This is your special day—the
event of a lifetime!—and you want it to be meaningful and memorable. I'm available to serve your needs in pre-marriage counseling,
service design, wedding rehearsal, and of course performing the ceremony and signing your marriage license.
I am 100% committed to your beautiful ceremony and successful marriage. Here is some more detailed information:
Service elements: Since I minister in Christian churches, I limit myself to performing Christian-based weddings. I am totally flexible regarding
the order of your ceremony, but I ask that you include the simple elements of scripture, prayer and a place for a five minute message. I am not "preachy"
or long-winded! But I do wish to briefly remind all who are gathered that Christ is involved in the holy bond of marriage.
Counseling: The state of Minnesota gives marriage license discounts to couples who go through pre-marriage counseling.
This is a firm requirement for my involvement. You may do your counseling with me or another professional person (or attend classes).
Fees:
· Wedding ceremony: $300
· rehearsal, different day than wedding: $100
· rehearsal, same day of wedding: free
· pre-marriage counseling if done through me (two sessions): $100
Payment: included in your bill at Mississippi Dunes.
About me: I grew up in Marshall, MN playing sports and music, and attended Southwest State University where I met my wife and (still) best friend, Sharon. I've spent my career in collegiate ministry, and earned my degree from Bethel Seminary of St. Paul. Sharon and I have two kids, we live in the Midway area of St. Paul, and we attend Grace Church Roseville.
I'm an avid golfer and a member at Mississippi Dunes (I think you'll love getting married at "the Dunes," as we call it. They have a great staff who really care about people and they provide excellent service.)
"Check me out?": You may want to get to know me a bit before inviting me into your wedding plans. I understand! Feel free to give me a call and we can chat on the phone or get together for coffee (free of charge).
